Bev has been line dancing for many years, starting in the western suburbs of Melbourne nearly 30 years ago (1996). After moving to Inverloch in 2006, she started dancing with R&J Line Dancers (Roslyn Uren and Julie Foote) in Korumburra in 2007, and in October 2009 responded to an advertisement from the Inverloch Community House seeking a tutor for a line dance class. This started out as a 10 week prepaid beginners' course at the Inverloch Angling Club hall with nine participants, and at the end of the course, all those who stayed the distance wished to continue in 2010. Over time, class numbers increased and it began to get too crowded at the Angling Club, so the class was relocated to the Inverloch Community Hub a couple of years later.

When one of the teachers from R&J Korumburra sadly passed away in 2012, Bev started helping out with the teaching of those classes and eventually took over full responsibility for the class in 2015.

In April 2014 Bev was asked to help out with a class at Cowes on Phillip Island, after the rather abrupt departure of the previous instructor, and what started out as a few weeks' fill in soon became a permanent arrangement.

In 2016, under pressure from the VLDA (Victorian Line Dance Association), Bev's classes were combined under the name Bass Coast Line Dancers, although she still remains a volunteer tutor with the Inverloch Community House.

Bev still dances as a student with Good Time 'N Bootscooters in Gladstone Park (Melbourne) and with LV Country Line Dancers in Newborough (near Morwell), as well as teaching her three classes per week.
